Privacy at a Glance
- All data stays on your device — nothing is uploaded to the cloud

Introduction
Slick Engineering & Consulting, Inc. ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Thermlapse mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information when you use our App.
We designed Thermlapse with privacy as a core principle. The App operates entirely on your device and does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers.
What Data Is Collected
Thermlapse does not collect any personal data. The App processes the following information entirely on your device:
- Thermal images — Captured from your connected FLIR camera and saved to your device's Photos library
- App preferences — Settings such as temperature units, emissivity values, capture intervals, and display preferences are stored locally on your device
- Album names — Custom names you assign to time-lapse albums are stored on your device
None of this data ever leaves your device.
What Data Is NOT Collected
To be explicit, we do not collect:
- Names, email addresses, or contact information
- Location data or GPS coordinates
- Device identifiers or advertising IDs
- Usage analytics or behavioral data
- Crash reports or diagnostic logs
- Any form of telemetry
Device Permissions
Thermlapse requests the following device permissions, each used solely for its stated purpose:

Data Storage
All data is stored locally on your device:
- Thermal images and videos are saved to your device's Photos library, managed by your operating system
- App settings are stored in the app's local preferences (UserDefaults on iOS, SharedPreferences on Android)
- No cloud storage is used — we do not operate any servers that receive your data
Deleting the App will remove all app settings. Images saved to your Photos library will remain until you delete them manually.
Third-Party Services
The Thermlapse mobile app does not integrate with third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or data collection services. The App contains no third-party SDKs that transmit data off your device.
The only external software component is the FLIR ThermalSDK, which provides the thermal camera interface. This SDK operates entirely on-device and does not transmit data to external servers.
Public Website Analytics
The public Thermlapse product homepage offers optional, consent-gated Google Analytics. Analytics does not load unless you select “Allow analytics.” If enabled, it measures homepage views, basic browser and device information, general geographic region, referral source, and clicks on the App Store and Google Play buttons, and may store first-party analytics cookies. We disable advertising storage, ad personalization, and Google Signals.
The support and privacy pages do not load analytics. We do not send support emails, email addresses, form contents, thermal images, app activity, or other sensitive data to Google Analytics. Your analytics choice is stored locally in your browser and can be changed using “Analytics choices” on the homepage.

Children's Privacy
Thermlapse does not collect personal information from any users, including children under the age of 13. Because no data is collected or transmitted, the App complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar regulations.
Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page and include a notice in the App's update notes on the App Store and Google Play. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
